The IE-SMU alliance brings together two elite educational institutions, creating global access to unparalleled business knowledge for students, faculty, and executives worldwide. Combining IE’s strong management fundamentals with SMU’s innovative curriculum, the two schools have developed the IE-SMU MBA with one unique vision: Preparing top professionals for complex leadership challenges requiring effective management skills, with an added feature of having an Asian flavour to its curriculum. The programme provides a unique experience by fusing a global curriculum, provided by IE Business School, with an Asian perspective, perfected by SMU.
Erik Schilie, Associate Dean of MBA Programmes of IE Business School and Lieven Demeester, Associate Dean of MBA Programmes at SMU, introduce you to the IE SMU MBA, its methodology and the blended method.
They describe the MBA as a “very flexible programme that lets you combine your learning time with your career in an accelerated format”. “Throughout the ten months, you will acquire all the same skills provided by a full-time MBA, as well as develop your personal skills in critical thinking, coaching, and networking. Combined, this will help you take your career to the next level.”
During the programme there are five face-to-face periods on our campuses in Madrid and Singapore, where you will be able to get to know two of the most vibrant cities in the world.
IE Business School
In the heart of a vibrant urban center, the IE campus is located in the financial center of Madrid, one of Europe’s largest capitals. Our students benefit from a global learning environment, toptier networking opportunities, and facilities equipped with the latest generation technologies – all within the prestigious, top-ranked IE Business School and its multiple buildings.
Surrounded by museums, theatres, educational institutions, restaurants and a variety of retail outlets, planning and development of the SMU campus involved the input from many different groups. Together they have managed to create a unique city campus directed towards the challenges of the new millennium, while still maintaing its connection to the historical origins of this important district.
